About this event
Announces a Daylong Sangha Event:
Green Tara Retreat
The Retreat: Green Tara is the embodiment of enlightened mind and enlightened activity--a manifestation of our own deepest wisdom. In this one day retreat, we will have the wonderful opportunity to share our practice together, build community, and to connect with her awakened wisdom and power. No prior experience is required.
Time & Place: Saturday, September 9th from 10:00 to 4:00 at the White Heron Sangha Meditation Center. We will have a pot luck lunch, so bring some vegetarian food if you can. (If you can't, just bring yourself).
Registration: We request that you register so we will know how many people are planning to attend. There is no fee for the retreat, but dana is welcomed.
The Teachers: The retreat will be lead by three longtime Sangha members James, Cindy, and Nisa.
James Coleman has a PhD from UCSB, is the author of several books including The New Buddhism and The Buddha’s Dream of Liberation: Freedom, Emptiness, and Awakened Nature, and was trained in Tara practice by Lama Palden and Lama Drupgyu.
Nisa King has a MA in psychology, is a certified Qigong instructor and EFT practitioner, and has been a Life Coach since 2007.
Cindy Cleveland is a biologist, a long-term yoga and meditation practitioner, and a yoga teacher.
In-Person: In-person participation will take place at the White Heron Sangha meditation center in Avila Village behind the Woodstone Marketplace, near the Bob Jones Trail. Parking is alongside the buildings. Please do not park in front of the Woodstone Marketplace.
For retreats, participants are required to do a Covid test before attending. Before registering for in-person attendance, please read the general protocol here.
