"Serenity in the Midst of Activity" - Fran Dukehart

Update: In-person attendance is now open to all individuals who are free from cold/flu/COVID symptoms, regardless of COVID vaccination status. Attendance on zoom will continue to be an option for the Sunday Program.

Fran's passion to discover the secret of 'serenity in the midst of activity' lead her to study with Thich Nhat Hanh and other masters who encouraged her to be present instead of being scattered. When you calm your body and your emotions, teaches Zen master Thich Nhat Hanh, you restore yourself, and you restore peace to the world around you. The aim of Centering Yoga is to follow the teachings of the renowned teacher of mindfulness meditation, Thich Nhat Hanh. As a moving arts facilitator, Fran Dukehart will guide you through a series of gentle exercises created specifically to cultivate a joyful awareness of the body and breath. All abilities and conditions are welcome.

Fran Dukehart is a Master Movement Artist, who has been teaching Yoga, Mindfulness Movement and T'ai Chi as a healthy lifestyle for over ten years. Her passion and love of dance, wellness and movement encompasses training in the Art of Mime which infuses her teachings with laughter and good humor. Fran's goal is to build confidence in allowing the breath to lead each movement.
