I have been a dharma practitioner in various traditions for over twenty years. The teachings of the Buddha across all Buddhist traditions have been transformative and life-sustaining for me. Since 2015, I have found a home in the Plum Village tradition of Engaged Buddhism, founded by Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh.

In November 2024, I ordained into the core community of the Order of Interbeing through Thich Nhat Hanh’s lineage, becoming the 44th generation of the Lam Te Dhyana School and the 10th generation of the Lieu Quan Dharma line, which belongs to the Linji/Rinzai tradition of Zen Buddhism. I received the dharma name "True Powerful Patience."

I am inspired to share the teachings and wisdom of the Dharma and Thich Nhat Hanh with anyone interested in living a more mindful life. My aim is to create a space where practitioners can engage in longer sitting meditation sessions and feel welcomed and safe to share the joys and challenges of mindful living, while learning from each other’s experiences.

I am married and have one adult son. I have had a long career in hospital and health services administration, and my formal education includes undergraduate and graduate degrees in Biology and Health Services Administration.
