About this event

Thoughts like Clouds:
A Weekend Retreat on Mindfulness of Thinking
with Mei Elliot

With so many instructions on how to quiet the mind, it's easy for meditators to perceive thoughts as the enemy. During this weekend retreat we'll explore a more wholesome and liberating relationship with the thinking mind. Through periods of sitting and walking meditation, instructions and Dharma talks, we'll explore different ways of meeting thoughts with clarity, ease, and curiosity. Rather than needing to get rid of thinking, we'll investigate how working skillfully with thoughts can reveal insights into the true nature of experience. In the same way that the sky meets passing clouds, this retreat points toward a spacious mind that can hold anything that arises.

In the same way that the sky meets passing clouds, this retreat points toward a spacious mind that can hold anything that arises.
