Awakening Enjoyment in Meditation

A 5-Week Class Series Beginning January 3rd

Led by Mick Malotte

As we step into a fresh year, this five-week series invites you to discover how accessing healthy enjoyment in meditation can be a self-reinforcing practice that keeps us engaged, inspired, and moving forward on the path.

By gently nurturing a sense of wholesome pleasure and joy in the body, heart, and mind, we create a natural foundation for samadhi to deepen and insight to arise. This supports turning toward suffering in an uplifting way, helping us meet life’s challenges with resilience and clarity. Join us and let the joy of practice carry you forward.

  • Open to everyone, whether you’re new to meditation or have an established practice.

  • Learn to cultivate calm in the body, contentment in the heart, and gladness in the mind. This naturally quiets the hindrances and activates the seven factors of awakening.

  • Supported by the four foundations of mindfulness and mindfulness of breathing texts (Satipatthana and Anapanasati).

  • Daily Meditation Commitment: minimum of 12 minutes every day for the five weeks of the course. As benefits are felt and meditation becomes an enjoyable habit, then natural motivation follows to continue and increase practice time if desired.

When: Saturdays 10:00 to 11:30am January 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31.

Where: In person at White Heron Sangha Meditation Center.
