Steele and Linda - Being Present with Haiku

About this event

Sangha talk by sangha members Linda Elder and Steele Bennett - Being Present with Haiku

Haiku are brief three line poems, which originated in Japan and have spread across the world. They are fun to compose, written by school children as well as accomplished poets, and everyone in between.  Composing Haiku can also be seen as a form of practice.

Steele and Linda will share some of their knowledge about Haiku, its relationship to Buddhism, and present some of their favorite Haiku from the masters of the form and a few of their own. There will also be an opportunity to compose your own Haiku, and share with the group, or not, as you wish.
