All of the functions of the White Heron Sangha are accomplished through the efforts of volunteers. The Sangha’s existence therefore depends on you. We encourage everyone to help out in some capacity. Our members are a vast and diverse resource of ideas and talent that can benefit the Sangha and our neighbors.
Volunteering is a great way to become more connected to the Sangha while developing your practice of generosity. If you would like to help, please contact our volunteer coordinator, Bob Liss at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We have no membership fees—All activities are supported by service and dana (donation), with the exception of suggested fees to cover the costs of weekend retreats. Arrangements can be made for anyone who finds the retreat fee too burdensome and work/study scholarships are available. We continue to be grateful for your tax-deductible contributions.
Although the meditation center is closed, The White Heron Sangha is quite active. We have a myriad of online events that require the help of our many volunteers. Within the guidelines of the COVID-restrictions, the Karuna Team is providing help to our members in need, and the WHS is still active in feeding the hungry. Please check the drop down menu or email Bob to find out how you can help.
