A Class Series from the White Heron Sangha
Mindfulness Practice for Everyone
Six-week class series
Thursday evenings August 17 to September 21
This class will introduce various practices of mindfulness meditation and also mindfulness practices to be used in daily life. The material will be presented in a manner that is compatible with many belief systems and is intended for those from many different walks of life. Through talks, videos, guided meditations, and discussion, the class will help participants learn to become more present, less reactive toward difficult experiences, connecting to the wisdom of the body and cultivating a wise peaceful heart. This course is appropriate for those completely new to mindfulness and also those with experience who wish to reinvigorate their practice.
The course will be held on six consecutive Thursday evenings, 6:00 to 7:30 pm, August 17, 24, 31, and September 7, 14, and 21, at a new location, the White Heron Sangha Meditation Center in Avila Village (map and pictures). It will be taught by Mick Malotte.
Since each class builds upon the previous one, preference will be given to those who can commit to attending all six sessions. Please be ready to practice mindfulness meditation on a daily basis for the six weeks.
There will be no fee for the course, registration is required, and it is open to anyone who is interested.
To register for this class series, or if you have further questions, reply to this email or send an email Mick Malotte at firstname.lastname@example.org.
